• Develop IDPs by successfully emulating, adapting, and replicating current client design rules. The SME may be required to produce and/or modify a simplified baseline drawing for existing buildings. The SME shall edit these building plans and designs to ensure consistency of bundled network VTC installations.
• Provide assessments of technical requirements provided by client representatives, including any standardized design and/or engineering criteria expected for the design. The assessments coupled with the technical requirements will form the basis of the design approach and final IDP.
• Ensure continuous process improvement by consulting and recommending the use of emerging technologies used in commercial or other governmental agencies in the areas of structured VTC design, expendable materials, and installation practices.
• Design and engineering products to include all necessary efforts to successfully implement, manage, and produce end work products, and provide services to support the areas of integrated data network VTC IDP.
• Provide program management oversight for the development of the IDP.
• Gather site technical requirements for new client facility construction projects, facility renovations, and refurbishment efforts. Depending on project size, requirements could be gathered over a teleconference or by conducting a site survey.
• Organize, direct, and manage contract operation support functions.
• Meet with customer and SME personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. Ensure strict conformance to program task schedules and prices.
• Demonstrate domain and expert technical knowledge of structured network VTC design and installation practices applying related industry standards.
• Have experience with client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision-making and domain knowledge may critically impact overall project implementation.
• Lead the effort to secure and protect all government information and ensure the IDP meets all RFQ requirements.
• Be located at the SME facility unless directed to travel for project management purposes.
• Participate in all phases of the installation design plan with emphasis on planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.Minimum Requirements:
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Degree/Certs CAD Experience
  • 5+ Years of Experience
  • Develop IDPs to include: Master Equipment and Parts List, Single Line Diagram, Cable Block Diagram, Room Arrangement Drawings, and Elevation drawings for Racks/Podiums. The Contractor may be required to produce and/or modify a simplified baseline drawing for existing buildings and edit these plans to ensure consistency of bundled network cable installations.
  • Provide assessments of technical requirements from customer representatives, including any standardized design and/or engineering criteria expected for the design. The assessments will form the basis of the design approach and final IDP.
  • Ensure continuous process improvement by consulting and recommending the use of emerging technologies in VTC designs, expendable materials, and installation practices.
  • Receive an official Project Control Sheet (PCS) as project information is updated, which shall include deadlines driven by project schedules, subject to change over the build-out process.
  • Complete all assigned IDPs within the PCS provided by the Government. The Government is procuring design services for 50 IDPs a year.
  • Update IDPs in accordance with evolving client needs prior to acceptance, ensuring a high-quality level of the finished product.Preferred Requirements:

    • Understanding of both large and small scale VTC designs
