Job Description:
A company is looking for a Vice President, Chief Underwriter to
lead the underwriting process and ensure the quality and
profitability of its life insurance portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Review high-value and complex cases to determine risk and make
underwriting decisions
Analyze financial statements and medical reports to inform
underwriting decisions
Negotiate with carriers for optimal ratings and collaborate with
stakeholders for underwriting expertise
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, insurance, or a related
field
Minimum of 10 years of underwriting experience in the life
insurance industry
Professional designation such as Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
preferred
Proven ability to make sound underwriting decisions and in-depth
knowledge of life insurance products
Strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate effectively
with various partners
