OverviewSupport the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) Office in the development and maintenance of Data Deletion controls to meet business, regulatory and compliance requirements. Understand business needs and identify opportunities to mature The Data Deletion policies and best practices. Understand business needs and identify opportunities to mature data deletion capabilities. Support the EDG Office in the development, implementation, and management of Navy Federal's data governance policies, standards, and procedures. Assist in implementing and managing frameworks designed to identify, evaluate, and manage data governance controls across the organization or a particular business. Identify, measure, and report on compliance with data governance requirements.ResponsibilitiesProvide advisory services and support execution of Enterprise Data Governance plans to enable the safe removal and disposal of Enterprise dataCoordinate with stakeholders to identify and implement data deletion controls/processes aligned with our data deletion frameworkDevelop and maintain data deletion procedures and documentationMonitor and respond to data deletion incidents and stakeholder feedback. Provide oversight and training to stakeholders on data deletion protocols and practicesParticipate in data deletion compliance reviews and coordinate issue resolution activitiesFoster alignment across Enterprise Data Governance, Risk and Records Information Management (RIM) goals and objectivesDesign data deletion management metrics in partnership with key stakeholdersCreate dashboards and reports as needed to show deletion metrics and communicate them to stakeholdersEffectively communicate and present standards, and procedures, and important updates to business stakeholdersCreate presentations in various formatsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications3+ years experience in implementing industry data lifecycle management best practices or a related fieldStrong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, including and CCPAProficiency in data management tools and softwareTimeline Development: Ability to create detailed project timelines, manage deadlines, and ensure timely completion of project activitiesCollaboration and Coordination: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other teams across the organizationCommunication: Clear and concise communication skills to articulate project goals, progress, and challenges to stakeholdersProblem-Solving: Analytical skills to identify and resolve blockers and improve processesLeadership: Leading initiatives, guiding teams, and driving projects to completionAdaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and new technologiesAttention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in reporting, data management, compliance processes, and written communicationsSelf-Driven: Ability to work independently to accomplish objectivesFamiliarity with data governance industry best practicesDesired Qualification(s)Knowledge of Navy Federal Infrastructure: Understanding the technical aspects of these systems to clear blockers effectivelyHours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PMLocations: 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180 - 141 Security Drive, Winchester, VA 22602 - 5510 Heritage Oaks Drive, Pensacola, FL 32526About UsNavy Federal provides much more than a job.
